RackIt Base
This unit is part of a modular audio storage system. It goes under other units to get your records or CDs up from the floor and/or to enable the stack to roll around. This is the original size that fits under the LP Record Rack and the CD-180. It comes with either black twin-wheel casters, or adjustable glides.
- solid wood construction
- finger-jointed corners with solid wood bracing
- wood frame is 1 1/2" tall x 18" wide x 13 3/4" deep
- two holes in top for registration pins
- casters bring the total height to 3 7/8"
- adjustable glides can level the stack on an uneven floor, or can be withdrawn all the way up into the wood frame
Double- and Triple-wide Bases are also available to span and unify multiple stacks of Record Racks. Contact me for info.

Many thanks to Ryan Tinsel for continuing the Per Madsen Rackit modular record rack legacy. The two pieces ordered arrived well-packaged and the out of the box experience was nothing but positive. Both the tabletop and base w/casters exhibit craftsmanship and attention to detail. One nice touch is that Ryan uses hardwood braces for the corner joints of the base. Although they won’t show after rack assembly, it speaks to pride of workmanship. Assuming my LP collecting/hoarding continues, I’ll be back for more...

Ryan produces high-quality handmade vinyl record storage products. They are expertly machined and match perfectly with the original units I purchased from Per Madsen. If I had the need, based on my experience, I would purchase the CD units.
